Join the Humane Society for Hamilton County on Saturday, July 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for their annual Welcome to the Jungle cat adoption event! There will be vendors, pet photos, a caricaturist, food and more! The Humane Society is located at 1721 Pleasant Street in Noblesville, next to the fairgrounds. The first 25 feline adoptions come with a $25 gift card, compliments of Pet Supplies Plus (limit one per family).

In Memoriam--Dawg Leonard

Dawg Leonard was without a doubt, a favorite here at Best Friends Carmel. His owner traveled extensively, so Dawg became almost our "resident" dog, boarding with us at least every week. He was a mild-mannered, sweet dog (unless food was involved!) and we lost him to cancer a few weeks ago. The kennel will not be the same without him--he will be greatly missed :-(

Paw-ty at North Haven of Carmel

Best Friends Carmel will be hosting a booth at the dog-friendly resident event at North Haven Apartments this Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.! Campers/Play and Stay-ers of the Week!!

We are "Bulldog Buddies" who are the life of the party in Play and Stay (as you can see)!  We love to play with ALL the other doggies, swim in the pool (that is, if you can get Dante off the chair and stop him from waving at everyone who passes by!)..since Play and Stay started, we are so tired from playing when we get home, that one of our owners actually took us to the vet because they thought we were depressed...turns out we were just tiiiiiiiiired! We will never do regular boarding again because camp is so much fun!!

"For the Love of Dogs" Art Show

The ArtSpace inside the Historic Athenaeum, one of Indy’s up-and-coming gallery spaces, is pairing with local artists, Jim Kelly, Casey Jo Ailes, Christine Plantenga, Judith Sturges and many others to help out man’s best friend.

The artists will portray canines, including some of IndyHumane’s very own shelter pooches, who touch all of our hearts. Stop by from July 2- July 29th to check out all of the pieces.

12th Annual IVEC Pet Carnival
