Meet Our New Trainer! (and her faithful pooch Lugnut!)

Best Friends Carmel  proudly welcomes Kristi Rush as our new trainer! Kristi has been the trainer at our Castleton location for a long time now, but we get the benefit of her expertise in Carmel now as well. In 1974, Kristi joined the Pooch Paw Raiders 4-H Club and began her love of training. In 1987 she started her own business called Kristi's Kritter Kollege and spent the next 5 years running a successful canine and equine training center.  Since returning to the midwest, she has continued providing individual training to animals and their owners in a variety of fields. She brings her years of expertise and deep love of animals to our Carmel location, and will be offering a wide variety of classes including, but not limited to: Puppy Kindergarten (Wednesdays from 8-9p.m.), Adult Obedience Classes (Wednesdays from 7-8p.m.), Private Lessons, Agility Training, Behavioral Modification, Canine Good Citizen testing, and Board and Train.  We are so excited to have her with us! Old Navy Pet Event at Clay Terrace

On Saturday, January 23rd Best Friends Pet Care Carmel will be participating in the Old Navy Pet Event at Clay Terrace Mall in Carmel, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Stop by our table to pick up valuable coupons that you and your best friend can use for boarding, grooming and training, plus see a training demonstration by our talented and experienced trainer, Barbara Jolliff. Barb has been training dogs for over 30 years and has been the staff trainer at Best Friends Carmel for 12 years. Let her give you helpful hints on how to use a positive approach to training your dog.

Paws in the Park

We at Best Friends Carmel are excited to be participating in the 2nd Annual Paws in the Park http://www.pawsindy.com event on Saturday, October 10th from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.!

The event, supporting local abused, abandoned or sheltered pets, will be held in Broad Ripple Park at 1550 Broad Ripple Avenue. Bring your pets for a day of family fun, including live blues music, contests, face-painting, interactive shows and pet care demonstrations.

Be sure to stop by our table for a chance to win valuable gift certificates and to talk to one of our associates about our outstanding boarding, grooming and training programs...we hope to see everyone there!
